Head of European Sales
Job Outline:
We are looking for a Head of European Sales to join the Commercial team, focused on bringing the best of early-stage businesses to the Crowdcube platform in Europe. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who has a keen interest in start-ups and the venture scene, is process driven, has experience in B2B sales and experience in the startup / investment ecosystem, and eager to help us shape the world of start-up finance and have a real impact on entrepreneurs' lives.
The role is based in our Paris office.

Day to day you will:
Manage the sales team across different geographies with a particular focus on developing the French market.
Managing the overall sales process, set appropriate metrics for sales funnel management in Europe.
You’ll be immersed in the EU startup ecosystem, attending events, building a personal brand as a fundraising expert, and creating a network for referrals.
Lead discussions with the incumbent investor community to open up discussions with potential clients
Play a key role in building out efficient processes for finding new investment opportunities, using our suite of outreach tools.
Responsible for building connections with Crowdcube partners to understand their requirements and create opportunities for their success.
Lead discussions with start-ups on their upcoming rounds and help to negotiate the terms.
Collaborate with colleagues from across the business, including partnerships and marketing, to improve processes and provide feedback.
Cultivate a thorough understanding of the alternative finance/start-up/funding industry and keep abreast of significant developments.
Ideally you will be:
Native French speaker and excellent English
A self-starter who needs little guidance and takes ownership.
A proven track record in consultative sales
At least 5 years experience leading sales teams (must have managed teams previously)
Confident in speaking with C-level executives, business founders and management teams, with a natural flair for building relationships and negotiation.
Hardworking and able to embrace the change that is constant in a fast growth business.
Well networked with the startup and investors community.
Knowledge or experience in fundraising is a plus.
And you will have:
A passion for start-ups, entrepreneurship, and alternative finance.
Previous consultative sales, business development and/or commercial partnership experience.
Experience of working in a targeted environment.
Experience leading sales teams (across multiple geographies would be a plus)
A natural relationship builder and negotiator.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of the London startup eco-system, ideally an existing network

Our interview process typically consists of an initial phone screen, an interview with the hiring manager and a task, followed by a final interview with other members of the team. There aren't any trick questions and the task will typically be based on a real scenario the team have worked on.
